Chanukah Disruption/Giveaway

>> Wednesday, December 16, 2009

You might wonder what happened to the 5th Night of Chanukah.
The short answer: Comcast ate it.

The long answer is that the internet disappeared on Monday night and, upon calling Comcast, my roommate learned that they had no idea what the problem is but that they couldn't send anyone until Thursday. So I have no internet at home until tomorrow, assuming a) the Comcast technician comes and b) said technician fixes things.

Because the pictures for the giveaway are at home where the internet is not, I'm going to combine the fifth and sixth night giveaways into 1 surprise giveaway: a mystery package for crafters of either fabric-related supplies or scrapbook-related supplies (you choose).

To enter:
Comment below, telling me something you'd like to get in the surprise package (no guarantees, but if I can make it happen, I'll try).

Giveaway open until Thursday evening when, hopefully, the internet will have returned.

Nights 3 & 4 Winners

Sorry to hear about your Internet :-(

As to the giveaway ... I would love the materials to make my very own challah cover!

The internet ate a bunch of my out going emails this week - I am sorry to hear you have no net!

I'd love some fabric related supplies - I'm all into pink these days.....

Happy Chanukah to you!

Wow I won the cats books! Sweet! Something I'd love in a surprise package is fabric. I have a serious obsession with it! I hope Comcast fixes everything. I've had so many issues with them.

Congratulations to the winners!

Sorry to hear about your internet, that is always a bummer. We've had some issues with Comcast ourselves but they are pretty much the only game in town here.

In a surprise package I would like to get fabric scraps! I love working with other people's scraps it gives me a neat variety of fabric to work with. I'm working on a grandmother's flower garden quilt that I'm trying to make a scrap quilt as much as possible. (At this rate I fully expect to be a grandmother myself by the time I get it finished but it gives me something to do with my hands.)

sorry about the internet. you don't realize how much you use it until its gone :(

I'd love to win children-related fabric. I love to sew for little ones!

fabric fabric fabric!
And maybe your ruggelach recipe.
I am a novice sewer, and I'm loving the log cabin blocks because they look so complicated & impressive.
I'm thinking about trying English paper piecing next (once I finish my current 'travel' project, knitting a big wooly shawl).
Thanks!

So sorry about the internet being down. HOPEFULLY the tech guy will come and be able to fix it. I think a mystery giveaway is very nice...I would like to have be kept a mystery if I win...maybe a little of both ;)

Ouch. Sorry about the internet. Hopefully it is back quickly!

Mysteries are pretty cool. Fabric is what I'd want. Scraps would be awesome. I love scrappy quilts, but I'm new to quilting so don't have nearly enough for real variety.

I totally know how you feel with no internet. It stinks!

I would like, if I win, some hand quilting needles. I go through those like paper napkins.

Thank you again!

I hope your internet is up and running soon! That's always a bummer.

I would love some of your fabric scraps. You have a way of blending color beautifully and I really enjoy the color palate you use.

Thanks!

I hope your internet problem settles...I couldn't do without it. I love patterns, so anyone is nice. Happy Hanuakkah to you!
